What is covered under Lexus LX manufacturer car warranty?

We take a look at the warranty on offer from Lexus on their LX behemoth

Car Ownership

Luxury comes standard

The Lexus LX is sold with Lexus' 7 year / 105 000km warranty and covers against defects in materials and manufacturing. There is also a Powertrain warranty that will cover the engine parts, which includes the cylinder block, head and all internal parts, oil pan, water pump, fuel pump, engine mounts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets. The transmission/transaxle parts (case and all internal parts, torque converter, clutch cover, mounts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets), and the front-wheel-drive system or rear-wheel drive system are also covered.

Lexus also offers a 7 service / 100 000km maintenance plan to keep your LX running at tip-top condition.

What does it NOT cover?

With most manufacturers, Lexus does have exclusions to its warranty and these are but are not limited to:

  • Abuse
  • Fire
  • Accidents
  • Theft
  • Water contamination
  • Replacement of fluids
  • Filters
  • Spark plugs
  • Fuses
  • Worn wiper blades
  • Brake pads
  • Clutches

We highly advise checking your owners manual and if still uncertain contact your nearest Lexus dealer.
