How to replace the car battery on a Toyota Urban Cruiser

When the Toyota Urban Cruiser was first released in 2021 it fast became a favourite of small families needing a crossover. With these being Toyota models they are easy to work and do maintenance on and changing the battery is not hard. Here's how it's done.

2023 saw Toyota release a brand new Urban Cruiser model that is bigger and better equipped than the outgoing model. Many of those outgoing models will find themselves entering the used car market soon, and as we know, with the lifespan of car batteries being roughly 3-5 years, many of these vehicles may be in need of a new battery to keep them in tip-top shape.

You will need:

  • Replacement battery of correct size and amperage
  • 10mm socket or wrench

 

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

2. Locate the battery

3. Using the 10mm, remove the negative terminal

4. Using the 10mm again, disconnect the positive terminal

5. Using the 10mm, undo the bolts for the hold-down bracket

  

6. Carefully remove old battery

 

7. Exchange battery and assemble in reverse order
