Modern two-door sports cars have become technologically advanced over the years, with many now sporting a host of electronic gadgets that require a lot of power. In the case of the Audi TT, if your cars battery voltage levels drop, many of these functions will stop working properly.

When this happens you will need to replace the car battery, and you can save yourself a few rand and tackle the job yourself. Here's how it's done.
You will need:
- Replacement battery of correct frame size and amperage (ADG44)
- 10mm spanner
Let's get started!
1. Open the boot.
2. Lift the boot floor up by the handle.
3. Remove the spare wheel retaining nut and remove the spare. (If equipped)
4. Locate the battery.
5. Use the 10mm spanner to remove the negative terminal.
6. Use the 10mm spanner again to remove the positive terminal.
7. Loosen the nuts with the 10mm spanner and remove the bracket
9. Remove the battery.
10. Install the new battery and replace all the terminals and brackets in reverse order.
The battery management function within the onboard computer needs to be reset so that the car knows that there is a new battery installed to ensure proper charge management. Without the use of a battery saver, you will lose all vehicle presets and data in the infotainment and trip computer, so a battery saver is recommended.
