What is covered under the Audi RS6 manufacturer car warranty?
Audi recently introduced the new Audi RS6 amongst other RS and S models locally. While there are no uncertainties around the performance prowess of the new RS6 Avant, you might wonder what exactly is covered under the Audi RS6 manufacturer car warranty?
The Audi RS6 Avant not only has established itself locally as one of the top performance wagons locally but a popular model in the Audi RS range. The RS6 Avant combines the practicality of a station wagon with the performance of a sportscar in a dramatically styled package. While you can trace its lineage all the way back to the RS2 Avant introduced in 1994, the RS6 offer nearly double the performance, not to mention conveniences.
The Audi RS6 comes fitted with a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol motor bolstered with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system (MHEV). The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends the 441 kW and 800 Nm of torque to all four wheels via Audi's quattro system. But what happens when something goes wrong, let us find out.
Warranty
The updated Audi RS6 come standard with a 1-year / unlimited-distance warranty. This warrants that the vehicle is free from defects in material and workmanship according to current industry standards. This means that if a component or system becomes defective within the one-year period, Audi will replace or repair the part according to technical requirements.
It should be noted that the replaced components do become the property of Audi South Africa. Owners should also know that while most of the components that make up your car is covered under the warranty, like with almost all manufacturers, wear and tear items will be excluded from that list. It is also very important for owners to adhere to the maintenance schedule as missing your appointment could result in the void of certain or all warranties.
Maintenance plan
While the warranty is limited to one year only, the Audi RS6 is sold with a 5-year / 100 000km maintenance plan. Owners will be notified via a service interval indicator to schedule and take their vehicle in for the required maintenance to be executed. As mentioned earlier, it is of utmost importance for owners to adhere to the schedule to avoid any warranties voided.

- Any repairs or services conducted by a service centre that is not authorised to do so.
