Looking to the aftermarket when it comes to both maintaining and enhancing performance icons such as the Audi RS4 can not only improve performance but in certain instances, save you money. In this piece, we look at aftermarket enhancements available for the B7 Audi RS4.
The B7 generation Audi RS4 has been hailed a modern classic by enthusiasts and journalists alike. First introduced in 2006 and sold up until 2008, there were just 10 000 of these sold worldwide. Body styles include a sedan, Avant and cabriolet. The sedan is the most popular of the trio.
The B7 RS4 is powered by the same 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 as the original Audi R8. The direct-injection V8 produces 308 kW at 7 000 r/min and 430 Nm of torque at 5 500 r/min with a redline set at 8 250 r/min.
Since all the RS4 models of this vintage are out of maintenance plan and factory warranty at this point, we’ve had a look online and found 5 accessories that will make your RS4 even better.

3. Audi A4 B7 Plastic Front Spoiler (Seat Cupra design)

4. Capristo Audi RS4 B7 SS T309 Exhaust with Valves & Endtips
RaceSound.co.za
While not exactly cheap, the Capristo is a high-end valve-controlled aftermarket exhaust system that will accentuate the sound of that glorious naturally aspirated V8. The exhaust valves mean that there is a quite and loud option when it comes to the sound emitted from the exhaust. The valves are controlled by the car's ECU or via the optional remote. Capristo also claims a 23 Nm increase in torque and a 14kW gain in peak power. Find out more here: RaceSound
5. KW Coilover Variant 1
At this stage of its lifecycle, the average B7 RS4 would most certainly require new shock absorbers if these items have not been replaced already. Since this is a high-performance car, OEM replacement items will be costly, so an upgraded Coilover kit from the likes of KW would be a better bet. The Variant 1 Coilover allows for factory-set damping with the option of customisation. Coilovers will improve handling and ensure high-quality damping for many years to come. Find out more here:
