How to replace a headlight bulb on a Ford Figo

Replacing the headlight bulbs on your Ford Figo doesn't necessarily mean a visit to your local Ford dealer. You can tackle this job right at home with just a few tools and some technical savvy. You will need to remove the headlight clusters as accessing the rear of the assembly is nigh on impossible unless you have very small hands that can bend at extremely awkward angles.

You will need:

  • No.3 Phillips Screwdriver
  • Replacement headlight bulbs of the correct wattage

 

Let's get it done!

 

1. Open the bonnet.

 

2. You will need to locate the three screws that hold in the headlight cluster, two are on top, the other is recessed behind the grille.

3. Carefully remove the headlight cluster.

 

4. Locate the seal and remove. This could be either a rubber cup or threaded plastic cap, depending on the year model.

 

5. Remove the wiring plug and pull out the old bulb.

 

6. Install the new bulb and replace the wiring plug.

 

7. Install cluster in reverse order.
