How to replace a tyre on a Ford Figo

There is nothing more frustrating than getting a flat wheel, we show you how to replace the spare on your Ford Figo and be back on the road in no time.
its only flat on the bottom
The Ford Fig is a cool, funky small car that is excellent for first-time car owners, students and new drivers. It comes with a full-size spare wheel and that means that you never have to worry in the case of a puncture or at worst a full, a full rapid deflation (shredded tyre).
If you do find yourself stranded one day, we can show you how to change yours in a few easy steps.
Let's get it done!
- Make sure the vehicle is on a flat level surface and that the hand brake is engaged
- Retrieve the car jack and wheel spanner from the boot
- Fit the jack near the approved lifting point on the undercarriage and take the weight off of the flat wheel
- Use the wheel spanner to remove the wheel bolts
- Place the spare onto the wheel hub and tighten the wheel bolts
- Lower the car down and give the wheel bolts a once over to ensure that they are sufficiently tight
- Place the flat wheel in the boot along with the tools and be on your way
Make sure to get the flat repaired as soon as possible and put the spare back. You can watch our video on why wheels go flat, here, if you want to know more.
