2. Active Lane Keeping Assist
Active Lane Keeping Assist is a crucial feature in the Driving Assistance Package. It uses cameras to monitor lane markings on the road. If the system detects you unintentionally drifting out of your lane without using your turn signal, it will provide a gentle steering nudge to guide you back into your lane. This can be a lifesaver on long journeys or when driver fatigue sets in.

3. Active Brake Assist
Another vital component of the Driving Assistance Package, Active Brake Assist, goes beyond simply warning you of potential collisions. This system uses radar and camera technology to detect stationary or slow-moving vehicles ahead. The system will sound an alarm and initiate partial braking if a collision risk is detected. It can even apply full braking to bring the V-Class to a complete stop, potentially avoiding an accident altogether.
4. Blind Spot Assist with Rear-Cross Traffic Alert
The V-Class takes blind-spot monitoring a step further by incorporating Rear-Cross Traffic Alert. Radars in the rear bumper monitor your blind spots for approaching vehicles. If a vehicle is detected in your blind spot while trying to change lanes, the system will visually warn you with a flashing light in the corresponding side mirror. Additionally, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert helps when reversing out of a parking space. It can detect vehicles approaching from the sides and alert you to potential accidents.
5. Traffic Sign Assist
Traffic Sign Assist uses a camera mounted on the windshield to recognise traffic signs. The system then displays the recognised speed limits, no passing zones, and other relevant information on the instrument cluster. This helps you stay informed about the current traffic rules and avoid expensive violations.
