Assembled in their Chakan plant in Pune, the new Scorpio is a massive leap forward for the Indian automaker, who is calling this a global vehicle as its design has been a worldwide effort. Designed by Pininfarina in Italy, engineered in the USA, and built in India, the new Scorpio N is set to take the fight to other well-established brands.

The Scorpio N is set to be powered by a TGDi mStallion petrol engine with 149kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, and a mHawk diesel engine with 128kW of power and 400 Nm torque, offered in both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and incorporating 4X4 as an option. There is no hybrid option currently in development.

The All-New Scorpio-N is designed to rule all terrains with the 4XPLOR, first-in-class intelligent terrain management technology. With a mere touch, the electric shift-on-the-fly 4Wheel Drive System transforms the Scorpio-N from 2WD mode into an all-conquering, capable 4WD beast. The Scorpio-N also gets three drive modes to match the driver’s mood: Zip, Zap and Zoom. Zip for smooth riding especially through traffic, Zap for true Mahindra SUV performance and, Zoom to amp it up for a more engaging and exhilarating ride-quality.

What is the Mahindra Scorpio N like inside? 

Draped in a rich coffee-coloured leather and trimmed with satin steel edging on the dashboard and door cards, the Scorpio N has elevated their interior to a new level.

Style

Italian styling house, Pininfarina worked together with engineers to design and build a good-looking vehicle with aggressive lines that would be as at home on the trails covered in mud as it would in suburbia on the school run.
