The Mahindra XUV700 is a flagship 7-seater SUV for the Indian manufacturer. The XUV700 signifies a new era of premium for the brand with a whole new aesthetic, advanced technology and a myriad of comfort and convenience features.
My colleague Ané Albertse did some digging on the new XUV700 here before the launch. It also makes her list of 5 great new family cars to consider.
Mahindra is quite proud to flaunt its new 'Twin Peaks' badge, another thing to show the new era for the brand. Mahindra's engineers show off the technology at hand with what they call a "sci-fi tech cockpit". For example, combining two 10.25-inch screens for vehicle information and infotainment too.
At the moment there is only a petrol powertrain on offer:
Powering all local XUV700 models is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The nearly two-ton SUV produces 149kW and 380Nm, endowing it with a reasonable amount of accelerative ability and a claimed fuel consumption figure of 8.7 L/100km. - Sean Nurse, AutoTrader

That's cool, but does it have a sunroof?
Yes indeed! The Mahindra XUV700 has a sunroof. As Mahindra trademarks it, the 'Panoramic Skyroof' extends all the way from the front to the rear complete with a shade too. The Panoramic Skyroof is available across the XUV700 range. More light, more space to view the stars and shining city lights. The Mahindra XUV700 delivers on the expectation of luxury.
