10 Best Comfortable Cars on The Market for 2022

Comfort is one of the "top of mind" factors when you're buying a new car. One thing you should remember especially is that you don't need to spend heaps of money to get the most comfortable car on the market. Sure, pricing can come into play with that, but it's not the be-all and end-all. Also, comfort isn't locked to size & vehicle style too. The smallest affordable hatchback can feel like you're riding on a cloud.

Buying a Car

So today, we'll show you 10 of the best comfortable cars on the market for 2022 to suit different pockets as well as different lifestyles.

1.Fiat 500 TwinAir Cult (2022)

This cheeky little Italian city runabout is the most affordable of the bunch. For an entry-level hatchback, it sports lovely creature comforts in a bite-size package.

2.Subaru XV 2.0i-S ES (2022)

Geared up for the rough stuff & fetching the kids from school. The Subaru XV treats its driver with a memory function for the driver's seat. You also get a seamless 8-inch infotainment centre with a touchscreen & Subaru's signature SI drive. Speaking of drive, with Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, you can have something capable off-road but with the comfort of a family hatchback in mind. Subaru struck that balance with the XV.

3. BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe (2022)

Right, let's start talking about premium comfort. The M440i is kitted out with some of the best tech & interior materials that BMW can offer. You also get a booming Harmon Kardon sound system to fill up the generous interior space. All of this is in a coupe format we might add.

4. Renault Clio 1.0 Turbo Zen

Now to add some French flair to the mix. The new Clio has been revamped from the previous model with an interior that speaks quality. There are more soft-touch plastics to behold along with space in the cabin to seat bigger adults more comfortably. The Clio's amenities are also conveniently placed with tactility in mind. Let's not forget, because it's French, you know it's going to ride like you're on a cloud.  Definitely worth a look.

5. Suzuki Vitara Brezza 1.5 GLX (2022)

An affordable compact SUV with some good uses of space. A baby Vitara if you will. A roomy interior despite the small stature, the Vitara Brezza is made with a taller roofline to make interior headspace for taller individuals a lot nicer. With soft-roading capabilities in mind, the Brezza is comfortable for longer trips too.

8. Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 TGDI 290T Executive (2022)

One of the standout products from Chery recently. The Tiggo 8 Pro flaunts its comfort, leaving many who encounter it in awe. The front seats look as if they're expertly crafted by orthopedic surgeons with majors in interior design. The rest of the interior is up to the same standard too. Not only that, the ride quality of the Tiggo 8 Pro is something you'd expect from an SUV with almost double the Chery's price tag.

9. Toyota RAV4 2.5 Hybrid GX (2021)

Rated as one of South Africa's favourite SUVs, the RAV4 2.5 Hybrid GX delivers on the formula the original RAV4 set up for itself. The interior space's focus is functional, but Toyota didn't skimp on comfort. Everything here has a considered design to it but doesn't look boring. Seat materials that are soft yet durable while not burning you when the car has been sitting in the sun. A massive boot at 580l so your luggage stays in the boot area & doesn't disrupt cabin comfort. The RAV4 just makes sense but at the same time, is trendy.

10.Volvo XC60 B6 Geartronic AWD Inscription (2022)

Last but certainly not least, we're going Swedish with the Volvo XC60. Trimmed for comfort & equipped for luxury is the name of the game here. It's not often you see supple leather seats with massage functions in them. Juxtapose that with luxury finishes like piano black trim finishes and even a laser-cut crystal drive selector.  You'd be forgiven if you thought this was a Euro lounge rather than a car.
