5 things you need to know about the new Kubota L1421
The compact tractor has grown in popularity over recent years. This is due to its versatile usability which does not limit it to an agricultural environment. The compact tractor is used in a variety of areas such as estate management, municipal areas, golf courses and small holdings. Kubota has just introduced its latest L1421. Here are five things that you need to know.
Functional design
The L1421 has been redesigned to allow for improved air-flow into the engine compartment. This benefits cooling which in turn improves performance and reliability. Maintenance and repairs are quick and simple, thanks to the L1 Series’ one-piece, full-opening bonnet that provides quick access to key engine components. The front grille simply slides out for even easier access.
Improved engines
Engineers have added a unique three-vortex combustion system in the engine which enables increased air-flow into the combustion chamber for better energy consumption, fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions. The Kubota L1421 also features Dynamic Balancer which helps minimise noise and vibration. The four-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine offers upto 31kW of power.
Ease of operation
The latest L1421 has been given a few modern features which have significantly improved ease of operation. The L1421 features responsive, fatigue-reducing hydrostatic power steering that remains light and smooth even when working with heavy loads. Furthermore, this Kubota offers Feather-Step which features a hydraulic servo system that increases pedal responsiveness providing easy pedal-shifting operation for smoother performance and improved control, regardless of load size.
Improved comfort
Comfort has been improved thanks to a spacious operator platform, with all controls ergonomically designed to be within easy reach. For example, the PTO button is handily located on the right side of the operator’s seat, while the gear-drive modes are to the right side of the seat. The transmission model’s in-line shifting pattern enables easy range shifting from low to medium to high. Other items such as instrumentation are clearly situated and the suspension seat offers a comfortable seating experience for those long work days. A handy toolbox is located behind or next to the driver’s seat for easy access.
Lift capacity
The large capacity hydraulic pump and cylinder provide powerful lifting capacity, allowing you to use a wider range of implements with the 3-point hitch. The driver can operate the hydraulic independent PTO without using a clutch, allowing the tractor to take control and engage the PTO safely and efficiently. Our new electric PTO switch makes PTO operation easier than ever and is conveniently located on the side console.
