1. Power

The Kubota M7 is said to be the most powerful tractor offered by the company here in South Africa. The most powerful tractor on offer in the M8 which is not offered in South Africa as of yet. The M7 however is offered in three different models with the top spec M7-172 delivering around 130kW of power. The maximum power is now available at a lower level of just 1900rpm. Kubota’s M7 Series boasts a powerful V6108 turbocharged diesel engine with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) that transforms exhaust into water vapour and nitrogen.

2. Shifting gears

The M7172series is equipped with a new 6-speed Powershift transmission with 30 forward 15 reverse gears. The Kubota Variable Transmission or KVT for short features a continuously variable transmission that lets the operator choose the right speed for every job. With the factory creep speed installed, a combination of 40 speeds are available which will ensure maximum productivity from minimum amounts of time and labour.

3. PTO options

The new M7 Kubota offers a standard 4-speed live-independent power take-off or PTO. This feature gives the driver the ability to operate a variety of rear-mounted implements at the optimum speed for each. The benefits of this function results in lower operating cost and fuel consumption. There is also an auto PTO on/off with a 3-Point Hitch Position that automatically disengages the PTO when the linkage is raised, then re-engages when the linkage is lowered, increasing operator efficiency.

4. Driver comfort

Designers of the M7 set out to refine the interaction between operator and machine. They have refined the cabin layout by making controls easier to reach and improving the materials offered. Thanks to the new material, the cabin is now better protected against scratches and other damage.

5. Top tier technology

The Kubota M7 features some of the latest technology on offer. This includes a variety of easy-to-use features, such as an all-in-one touch panel, the K-Monitor Pro and the EZ Command Centre. Intuitive control, simple operation, minimal hand and foot movement, and effortless manoeuvrability add to the ease of use experience. This improves operator comfort, confidence and production.

Kubota dealerships can be found nationwide in all main agricultural areas.
