5 Things you need to know about the Deutz Fahr 9340
Deutz-Fahr might not be at the forefront of conversation within the tractor segment, however this German agricultural machinery manufacturer has been around since 1968. In its time the company has developed an array of impressive machines which have rivaled the best. The latest addition to the segment is their biggest yet, the Deutz Fahr 9340. Here are 5 things that you need to know.
The WARRIOR within
The 9340 has been designed to offer the best in high-performance power, comfort, and versatility. To celebrate the introduction of this tractor the brand has made available the WARRIOR edition. The WARRIOR is the most powerful model of all time within the range. It enables contractors and farmers to efficiently and effectively tackle even the toughest jobs. This new ultra-modern and highly intelligent tractor offers improved operating comfort, automated routine functions and the very latest technology.
The power
When it comes to the power unit for the 9 Series, engineers wanted to make a statement. This statement comes in the form of the highest performing engine with impressive consumption for the power. The 7.8l six-cylinder engine features a two-stage turbocharger with accompanying intercooler. It also makes use of fuel-injection technology which allows for instant reaction. It also improves torque delivery which 90% can be found at just 1000rpm. The engine also features excellent cold-start characteristics – even under extreme conditions.
Drive technology
The 9340 features ASM which is able to automatically engage and disengage drive to the front wheels and the differential lock in relation to steering angle, speed and rear lift position. Furthermore, the electronically controlled, continuously variable TTV transmission provides exactly the right speed for all kinds of work. The TTV transmission combines the efficiency of mechanical components with the intelligence required for any job. The transmission can ensure fast response over the entire speed range, a smooth acceleration under all conditions, high dynamics and economical driving.
PTO at the front and rear
The 9340 offers three PTO speeds which include 540 Eco, 1000 and 1000 Eco at the rear and 1000 and 1000 Eco in the front. This allows for a variety of tasks to be done efficiently. Thanks to the down speed engine characteristics, the application of the Eco-PTO can be extended, thereby significantly reducing fuel consumption. All hydraulic and PTO functions can be easily set and controlled from the armrest in the cab.
The attachment points of the 9 Series are as versatile as the demands and working practices of contractors and farmers worldwide. With 12 000kg lift capacity at the rear and 5 000kg at the front, all imaginable combinations of equipment can be used.
Comfort all day long
The MaxiVision Cab 2 offers plenty of room for the driver. High-quality materials create a bright and pleasant working atmosphere. The new panoramic windscreen as well as the large side and rear windows provide the driver with the best all-round visibility. Form follows function with the newly designed front bonnet which enables a clear and unobstructed view of the front hitch. The cab is pneumatically suspended and isolated from the hood so that engine heat, vibration and noise do not intrude. The command control is ergonomically placed and offers clear operator controls for ease of use.
