3 Jeep Renegade accessories you didn’t know you needed.
Jeep has formulated five accessory packs to specify your Renegade with during the initial purchase. In addition to these, there are a few Mopar accessories you might want to consider that can be fitted after you purchased the Jeep Renegade. Here are the three Jeep Renegade accessories you didn't know you needed.
The Renegade is Jeep's answer to the saturated compact SUV market. The small model retains the round headlamp design and seven-slot grille as seen on Jeep vehicles, however, offers a few easter eggs in and around the vehicle that will keep owners searching for some time. These hidden items come in the form of small Jeep logos and tiny Jeep cars printed or moulded to the interior and exterior trim.

Although customers can specify their Renegade vehicles with one or more of the feature packs namely; Function Pack, Towing Pack, Parking Pack, Infotainment Pack and Visibility Pack, the American automaker offer a host of accessories through its Mopar customization service. These accessories are divided into six categories consisting of Personalization, Comfort, Accessories Maintenance, Safety, Sport and Leisure and incorporates both functional and stylistic options for customers to choose from.
Roof box
If there is one area in which Jeep and Mopar offer a great variety it is with the roof fittings. For us, the best one to opt for if you are going to travel a lot with you Renegade is the roof box, more specifically the 460-litre dark grey option. The box mounts to either the cross rails or sport utility bars and has a single side opening through which you can stow your luggage safely away from the elements.
Not only does the roof box protect your luggage from rain or hail, but it is also more aerodynamic which should result in better fuel consumption during a trip.
Bike carriers
If there are two prominent themes conveyed by the Renegade, it is adventure and activity. As such the American brand offer a variety of attachments and mounts for activity items such as skis, surfboards, kayaks and bicycles. Focussing on the bicycles, the brand offers roof carriers and hitch mount carriers. The latter will allow for up to three bicycles to be safely transported at once.
Another benefit front the hitch mount carrier is that it leaves the roof rails or sport utility bars free for mounting luggage or other attachments. The hitch mount carriers incorporate taillamps with indicators which safely show following vehicles what your actions are even if the bicycles are obstructing the Jeep's taillamps.
Tent
Another item that fits perfectly with the Jeep's adventure theme is the four-man tent. The tent can be attached to the tailgate of Renegade which creates additional storage space on your camping trip. The tent features several mesh windows and mosquito netting at both entrances which allow occupants to get adequate ventilation while bugs stay outside.
Packed the tent measures 27 cm wide, 80 cm long and 27 cm tall, however, expands to 290 cm wide, 630 cm long and up to 210 cm tall when erected.
