The Mercedes-Benz GLC Class is arguably the sweet spot in the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup. Compact enough to fit into any parking space, but still large enough to comfortably seat you and your family, the GLC hits a sweet spot unlike many others. Mercedes-Benz knows this and makes sure that the tech and convenience features are world-class in the GLC. To further enhance the appeal, for those customers who are looking for a statement piece, they offer the GLC Coupé, a regular GLC underneath but with racier styling and a sloping rear window.

All Mercedes-Benz GLC coupés are sold with a 2 year/unlimited km warranty that will safeguard you against any manufacturer defects. In addition to that, the purchase price includes a 5 year/100 000 km maintenance plan that will take care of your service costs for that period of time. How reliable is the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé?
Mercedes-Benz will allow you to extend this maintenance plan, taking care of parts and labour costs for oil and filters, air filters, pollen filters, brake fluid, and spark plugs if necessary, as well as labour costs for either two or four services, allowing you to "pre-purchase" these at a reduced rate. Contact your dealership and ask about the Service Care 2 or Service Care 4 packages. These are available for cars with less than 200 000 km on the clocks and cars under 10 years of age.
Mercedes-Benz Repair costs
Trying to find a definitive answer to the question of whether a Mercedes-Benz GLC is expensive to repair or not is tricky. We called upon the AA Parts Pricing Guide which looks at a few vehicles and compares their prices against their rivals. The Mecedes-Benz GLC was not sampled in this case, and only GLB and GLE was, however, by this we're able to glean an idea of how Mercedes-Benz parts fare, on a whole, against the opposition. Prices will always fluctuate as the GLC is imported and the constant variation in the Rand/Euro exchange rate will see these prices vary depending on when the parts are ordered.
From the AA report we're able to ascertain that the Mercedes-Benz brand is more affordable in some areas, such as maintenance parts, but then expensive when it comes to service parts. This was particularly prominent in the GLB and the GLE didn't fare too well, often being the most expensive of the brands and models sampled.
On average, it appears that the Mercedes-Benz products are comparable to their premium peers in terms of repair costs, similar to that of the Audis and BMWs you would consider alongside the GLC Coupé.
