How much are car repayments on a new Changan Star?

The Changan Star line-up provides business owners with a variety of small commercial vehicle options, including a single cab, double cab, panel van and an 8-seat people mover, all based on the same platform. Here is what it will cost you in instalments each month.

Buying a Car

The popularity of light commercial vehicles within the local automotive sphere cannot be underestimated. The increased use of bakkies and vans as both private and business vehicles means that small, affordable commercial vehicles such as the Changan Star may become more tempting as a proposition for business owners.

The Star line-up consists of nine models, ranging from R141 880 to R189 880, making them incredibly affordable, however, one must consider that there is not much in the way of safety items and features onboard.  As a pure workhorse, it is certainly capable though, sporting a 1 000kg payload. Powering the Star range is a naturally aspirated 1.3-litre petrol engine that produces 72kW and 119Nm of torque, allowing for a claimed fuel consumption figure of 7.2 L/100km.

If you are interested in a Star, here is what you can expect to pay, based on the current prices at the time of writing. The calculations are based on the retail price including VAT with a 10% deposit, taken over 72-months with no balloon payment and an anticipated interest rate of 12%. These figures will vary depending on your individual credit profile and serve only as a guideline.
