As the world moves toward a future dominated by SUVs it is good to know that automakers are still keeping their more performance-oriented buyers in mind. What’s it like to drive?

Reviewer's opinion

Audi claims a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 280km/h, and the car feels every bit as fast as that. You do get the sense that the gearbox is holding things back a bit during launch control situations, though, as a sort of self-preservation tactic and there is certainly an undeniable feeling that it is being held back by the aforementioned filter. The ride is firm, and while the handling is sure-footed and seemingly unflappable, the car is devoid of any discernable feel, a trait it shares with many performance SUVs and a likely result of trying to make something with a  high centre of gravity handle with some semblance of sportiness.

Interior

What is the Audi RS Q3 like inside?

Although the RS design is aggressive and race-y the luxury fitment still comes through. Plush Nappa leather seating with its quilted honeycomb design decorates the interior along with soft-touch materials, coloured contrast stitching, and an aggressively designed three-tier dash arrangement let you know you are in a purpose-built vehicle.

Style

The RS design language carries through from the rest of the RS range with a focus on sporty features and design. Trim materials such as brushed aluminium, piano black, and Alcantara lend an air of aggressive sportiness to the cabin.
