Isofix refers to the child seat anchorage points that serve as a connection point for the fittings on an Isofix-compatible car seat and base that slot into the points. Ryno Fourie explains in more detail what Isofix is in the following article:

Now that we've covered the technical details, let's answer the question: Does the Honda Fit have ISOfix as a standard feature?
The short answer is yes. The Honda Fit is very safe and child-friendly and ISOfix is part of the deal across all Honda models. It's easy to fit an ISOfix seat into the FIT too, as the doors open wide enough, and you don't have to be a contortionist to slot the seat into the base.
The Fit happens to be one of our favourite family MPVs as it features those super practical Honda Magic Seats that can be flipped up or folded down and allows you to transport clumsy items, such as bicycles, upright. Build quality in the FIT is impeccable too.

A Honda Jazz will cut the mustard if a FIT is too expensive...
If you can't quite reach the new Fit's rather hefty price tag, why not look into getting a pre-loved Honda Jazz instead? The Fit is the replacement for the Jazz, and structurally they're still very similar, especially where safety and practicality are concerned.
