4 extras you should fit on a new Audi RS Q3 Sportback

The Audi RS Q3 is back, in second-generation F3 guise and this time, there is the option of a Sportback model, offering a more coupe-esque roofline for those in the market for a sleek performance SUV coupe. Here are 4 accessories that you should specify on your new RS Q3 Sportback.

At the time of writing, the RS Q3 range was the latest pair of Audi products to be introduced to the local market during a year where the Ingolstadt-based brand plans to have fifteen new models added to its portfolio in South Africa.

The RS Q3 Sportback’s figures make for interesting reading, a quattro all-wheel drive system, a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox paired with the sublime 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine all wrapped up in a 1 775kg performance SUV package, complete with a sloping roofline. The RS Q3 range does come very well specified, however, we have selected 4 accessories that we feel will optimise your RS Q3 Sportback ownership experience.

1.Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC)

The DCC system features individually variable dampers that make use of oil that flows through the damper pistons. The oil is electrically actuated by a valve, adjusting the damper rates according to driving conditions with the help of sensors. This ensures that the vehicle’s handling characteristics suit the road surface and driving conditions at hand.

2.RS Styling package

There are two RS styling packages available in the RS Q3 range, namely Express red or Ara blue. Once you have selected the desired hue, trim elements on the steering wheel, seat belts, floor mats and gear lever are coloured either red or blue while the steering wheel rim and gear selector are also then trimmed in Alcantara.

3.Kyalami Green paintwork

The press images of the RS Q3 Sportback have all shown a car finished in a striking green hue, which we have discovered is named Kyalami green. The local flavour of the colour and the way it manages to accentuate the Sportback’s design elements make it a colour to consider.

4.Gloss black styling package

With your RS Q3 now looking resplendent in Kyalami green, the gloss black styling package will add gloss black accents to the front blade, rear bumper, window trim, side sills and as well as gloss black Audi badges and RS logo.
