Van with a plan
The old "man with a van" trope has long existed in markets outside of South Africa. Locally though, It's not as popular but the vehicles which support the old saying are. Unfortunately, Ford does not enjoy the same acclaim for the Transit van locally as it does in Europe with only a few models moved versus its competitors in Hyundai's H1, Mercedes-Benz's Vito, and Volkswagens' Kombi

Of the few derivatives that are still on sale, Ford SA currently only has two options, and sale numbers have been somewhat low resulting in an even smaller fleet of used models available. After an exhaustive search we were able to find a few models that are 1-year-old used examples and after spec-ing the original fully with every option on their website were able to determine which of the two current examples keeps its value.

Verdict
Unfortunately, the data pool that was used was rather shallow and this is by no means a definitive answer as to which trim level will depreciate faster than the other. The eventual pricing and depreciation will depend on many factors such as demand, availability, and condition, so these figures should ultimately only be used as a guide.
