The world first ClearSight Ground View is the realisation of Land Rover’s transparent bonnet concept previewed on the Discovery Vision concept six years ago, makes this fantasy a reality.

Festival of Motoring Johannesburg postponed to 2021
Messe Frankfurt South Africa has made the decision to postpone the Festival of Motoring to August 2021. The Festival of Motoring presented by WesBank is the largest automotive show on the African continent and the only national industry supported event endorsed by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA). Messe Frankfurt is in the process of finalising dates for next year's show and will make the announcement once these are confirmed. The show provides an ideal platform to showcase what the motoring industry has to offer and has become a favourite, not only among car enthusiasts, but also for event goers, families and a much broader audience in recent years.
Electrified power, ‘big car’ technology and refreshed design for upgraded KIA Rio
KIA Motors SA has announced a significant upgrade to the fourth-generation KIA Rio. The upgraded model features a range of enhancements to reinvigorate the Rio’s position within the highly competitive B-segment. The upgraded Rio pairs an updated exterior and interior design with ‘big car’ safety and infotainment technologies. The new model also offers drivers efficient new powertrains, including KIA’s first petrol 48V mild-hybrid system, equipped with the company’s new ‘clutch-by-wire’ intelligent manual transmission.
Volkswagen's WeConnect Go App now available in South Africa
The WeConnect Go app, which replaces the MyVW app, has a host of new innovative features which are designed to simplify the experience for Volkswagen customers. These features include; MyVolkswagen (displays the most important vehicle information like fuel level, mileage and battery voltage), Service Appointments (enables customers to send appointment requests to their preferred Volkswagen dealer), Get help (24-hour roadside assistance), Trip Monitor (digital logbook which is easily exported as a PDF and can be used for SARS vehicle claims) and Driving Challenges (points awarded for a safe and efficient driving styles).
Updated Isuzu mu-X ready for the road
Isuzu Motors South Africa (IMSA) has revamped its seven-seater mu-X sport utility vehicle (SUV) with an eye-catching array of styling enhancements for the exterior, along with more sophisticated and upmarket finishes for the cabin. The safety package has also been upgraded with the addition of a Brake Override System (BOS), as recently introduced on the Isuzu D-Max range, which helps reduce stopping distances in an emergency
