Porsche has officially unveiled the new 911 Turbo S, the latest flagship model in the iconic line-up. Debuting at the IAA Mobility motor show, this new model introduces a twin-turbo version of the brand's T-Hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful production 911. South African pricing has been confirmed, with orders expected to open in mid-September 2025
The new 911 Turbo S is said to be designed to be the ultimate all-rounder, blending supercar performance with everyday usability and long-distance comfort. Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911 and 718 model line, stated, "We have made the new 911 Turbo S even more comfortable, more individual, and significantly faster than its predecessor."

Performance and powertrain
At the heart of the new 911 Turbo S is a high-performance twin-turbo T-Hybrid powertrain that produces a system output of 523kW and 800Nm of torque. The power is transmitted through an eight-speed PDK with an integrated electric motor, which sends power to the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel-drive system.
The T-Hybrid technology, first introduced in the 911 Carrera GTS, has been further developed for the Turbo S, now featuring two electric exhaust gas turbochargers (eTurbos). The 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery is the same as the one used in the 911 Carrera GTS.
Performance figures
0-100 km/h: 2.5 seconds (Coupé) - a 0.2-second improvement over the previous model.
0-200 km/h: 8.4 seconds - a 0.5-second improvement.
Top speed: 322 km/h.
The new model set a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:03.92 minutes under notarial supervision, approximately 14 seconds faster than its predecessor and faster than the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro.
Design and Aerodynamics
The latest Turbo S introduces Porsche's cross-series Turbo design strategy, with several elements finished in the colour Turbonite. This includes the Porsche crest and the Turbo S lettering at the rear. The car features a wider body and track than the Carrera models, with redesigned rear fascias and new ventilation openings.
The active aerodynamics system has been enhanced for improved cooling and efficiency. It includes active cooling air flaps at the front, an active front diffuser, and an adjustable rear wing. This system reduces lift or, when retracted, drag, resulting in a 10% lower drag coefficient for the Coupé.
Chassis and handling
Standard equipment on the 911 Turbo S includes the electro-hydraulically controlled Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) and Porsche's Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system. The brakes are now upgraded with larger brake discs on the rear axle (410 mm) and front axle (420 mm), making it the most extensive PCCB system ever installed on a two-door Porsche.
The rear axle has 325/30 ZR 21 tyres, while the front remains at 255/35 ZR 20. A new standard sports exhaust system with titanium tailpipes has also been added, saving 6.8 kg in weight.
