Mercedes-Benz launch special edition V-Class!
The V-Class is a local favourite, offering those with certain practical requirements a people-moving option with premium features associated with Mercedes-Benz. The German brand has now unveiled a special edition of the V-Class, and here's what you need to know about it!
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the V-Class Special Edition, which it calls its "...most exclusive van to date." The newcomer has various exterior and interior enhancements to justify its increase in price, while the brand has also stated that there will be limited quantities available!

What's so "Special"?
The Special Edition benefits from new exterior features, with three paint colours, including Sodalite Blue Metallic, reserved solely for the Special Edition models. These models can also be differentiated by their black exterior trimmings and a roof box sourced from AMG. Inside, expect ambient lighting, temperature-controlled cup holders, a 3.2-litre refrigerated compartment, a colour touchscreen infotainment system paired with a Burmester surround sound system, and electrically operated sliding rear doors, among others.
The powertrain
Special Edition models are based on the flagship V300d, powered by the 2.0-litre turbodiesel model codenamed OM654 which produces 174kW and 500Nm of torque and is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Safety systems
The flagship V-Class comes equipped with Active Distance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Crosswind Assist, Pre-Safe Technology, Attention Assist and six airbags.
