Ford Everest Tremor Confirmed for South Africa

Following the success of its sibling, the Ranger Tremor, this new variant is designed for those who want to push deeper into the bush without losing the Everest’s road manners or towing ability.

Upgrades

The Tremor isn't just a badge-and-sticker exercise. Ford has overhauled the underpinnings to ensure it earns its name. Key mechanical upgrades include:

• Bilstein position-sensitive dampers: Specially developed off-road suspension with new springs for high-performance damping in tough conditions.

• Increased ground clearance: The combination of new suspension and beefier tyres adds 26mm of lift over the standard Everest.

• General Grabber AT3 tyres: All-terrain rubber fitted as standard for maximum grip on rocks, sand, and mud.

• Rock crawl mode: Exclusive to the Tremor within the Everest range, this drive mode optimises traction for technical, low-speed crawling.

V6 Power as Standard

The Everest Tremor will be powered exclusively by the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine.

Design

You’ll spot the Tremor easily thanks to several styling cues. It features a unique honeycomb grille with integrated auxiliary LED lamps, a heavy-duty steel bash plate, and chunky side steps.

It also introduces the Tremor-exclusive Command Grey paint option. Inside, the cabin features Tremor-embossed leather seats and "easy-to-clean" all-weather floor mats for when the adventure gets messy.

Availability

While the hardware is locked in, fans will have to wait a little longer for the fine print. Pricing and final local specifications will be revealed closer to the official launch in the final quarter of 2026.
