The Toyota Corolla Cross has been a sales sensation for the brand since its launch, and buyers can not get enough of this locally-built crossover that ticks all the boxes.

The rear seat has enough space for up to three adults (if the middle one is not large) and legroom is quite generous for the segment.

The cargo area offers room for the baby stroller and there's space for luggage and groceries too.

What is Isofix?

Isofix is safety system used to attach child or baby seats in a car, using tethers instead of a seatbelt. It consists of a 3 points attachment, two lower attachment points near the seatbelts plugs, and one attachment in the centre of the other side (behind the seat) or on top of it.

Verdict

The short answer is "yes", the Corolla Cross is fitted with Isofix - there are two sets of points on the outer rear seats. This means two Isofix seats can be installed. It's also really easy to install a car seat as the points (or hooks) at the bottom are easy to get a hold of. There are slits in the material (or leather) that you pull apart to gain access to the hooks (see the image above and below).

Remember to always take your Isofix seat along when you visit the dealership, to ensure that fitting it into the car is not too much of a hassle.
