Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max pricing and spec revealed

There's a flagship Chery Tiggo 7 Pro now available locally. Badged the Max, there are three versions of the newcomer, and here are the specs and pricing!

The Chery brand has found great success upon its return to the local market, particularly with the Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro; however, the mid-range Tiggo 7 Pro has not been quite as popular, something which the brand aims to rectify with the introduction of the Tiggo 7 Pro Max. Exterior changes

Those who are familiar with the standard Tiggo 7 Pro will note the revised grille finished in gloss black with diamond-shaped chrome accents, reshaped lower air intakes, new LED headlights, 18-inch wheels (19-inch on AWD models), and an LED light bar that extends across the rear section of the car.

Interior

Features inside include ambient lighting with 64 colour options, some 24.6 inches of screen real estate between the infotainment and digitised instrument cluster, electrically adjustable leather front seats, an 8-speaker Sony sound system and a negative ion air purification system in Executive-spec models.

Semi-autonomous

The model is available with the brand's 2.5 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which comprises 17 safety features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, Driver Monitoring System, Multi-Collision Brake, and Lane Change Assist. Standard safety features also include eight airbags and electronic stability control.

Drivetrain

The 7 Pro Max gets the 1.6 TGDI turbo-petrol engine seen in the Tiggo 8 Pro; it produces 145kW and 290Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed DCT transmission, sending power to either the front wheels in 2WD models or all four wheels in the AWD models. The latter is available on a pre-order basis, while the 2WD models are available as of the time of writing.
