Exterior

While the exterior maintains the sleek lines of the Prime—enhanced by high-gloss 18-inch alloy wheels—the real story is inside. Chery has used the Executive to answer local demand for "intelligent safety" and higher-end cabin comforts. The model also includes a surround-view monitor with "underbody" visibility powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. A panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, and ventilated/heated front seats are also standard.

Performance and efficiency

Under the bonnet is a familiar 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

Safety

The Executive model includes seven airbags as well as:

  • Forward-Collision Warning

  • Lane Departure Warning

  • Electronic Child Safety Locks (A vital addition for young families)

“Customers are looking for more than just style and value. They want intelligent safety and modern convenience,” says Verene Petersen, National Marketing Manager at Chery South Africa.

Comfort and connectivity

The cabin remains a tech-heavy space, featuring the dual 12.3-inch digital displays for instrumentation and infotainment. New to the Executive is a 50W wireless charger (significantly faster than standard pads) and synthetic leather upholstery for a more premium feel.

Pricing

At R459 900, the Tiggo 7 Executive remains highly competitive.

  • Retail price: R459 900

  • Vehicle warranty: 5-year / 150 000 km

  • Engine warranty: 10-year / 1-million km (first owner)

  • Service Plan: 5-year / 60 000 km

Additionally, the model falls under Chery’s new Trans-national Warranty Programme, meaning owners can access warranty support at authorised service centres globally—perfect for those planning cross-border African trips.
