Bottled Lightning
Suzuki has enjoyed a great deal of success here in SA over the last few months. The Jimny has an order waiting list and consumers are flocking to see the new turbo charged Swift and Vitara. To round off their hattrick of model releases, South Africans can now go to their local Suzuki dealership and take the all new Baleno for a test drive.

Whats new?
The new Baleno arrives with a refreshed look including changes made to the Liquid Flow design. A wider, more aggressive front grille with chrome detailing, a bigger S emblem and on the GLX model, LED headlights.
The GLX model also gets fog lamps embedded in the new bumper up front, down the side there are brand new wheels and at the rear you get a redesigned bumper with a hatch spoiler and dark privacy glass on the rear hatch and door glass.
The Baleno is available in 6 sporty colours with the welcome addition of Magma Grey which really sets off the chrome detailing around the car.
Interior wise, the seats get a two tone colour treatment while the dash and surrounds get brushed aluminium detailing.
With the GLX being the highest trim level you do, off course, get a much better infotainment system. The GLX Baleno gets a 7" touchscreen unit that features Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It also integrates the rear view camera and voice command system.
Safety has also been addressed and the GLX derivative gets 6 air bags.
More Power?
Power and drive train remain the same though, with both the GL and GLX models being powered by Suzuki's K14B engine and either a 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual transmission.
The K14B engine produces 68kW and 130Nm and will sip fuel while doing it, expect consumption figures below 5l / 100km
How much?
Suzuki is offering the Baleno with a promotional warranty of 5 years / 200 000 km and a 4 year / 60 000 km service plan.
