Suzuki unveiled their two newest models for the 2024 year, one of which we were expecting and the other a complete surprise that is sure to have an audience here in SA. Both machines are iterations of existing models that are on sale now. We take a quick look at these two bikes.

Suzuki GSX 8R

Based on the latest model released, the 8R is an evolution of the 8S naked bike that was released earlier this year. The 8R is a full-fairing version that is sure to place its stamp of approval on the middle-weight sportbike market.

Suzuki S1000 GX

Looking very much like a Yamaha Tracer 9, the new GX takes all the best features of the S1000 GT model on which it is based and dials them up to 11 with uprated suspension allowing the GX to be a road-ripping sports tourer and a gravel touring machine all in one.

Information on pricing and availability is still scant but technical information should be close to the base model specs and we can most likely expect arrival mid-year in 2024. You can watch the press conference and unveiling here.
