Case IH has introduced a new line-up of tillage and soil cultivation equipment to South African farmers to augment its already comprehensive range of popular implements. The new equipment includes the Case-Ecolo Tiger 875 disc ripper, the Case 475 Speed-Tiller high-speed disc and the Case Tiger-Mate 255 seedbed cultivator.

Ecolo-Tiger 875 Disk Ripper

The Ecolo-Tiger 875 Disk Ripper is a heavy-duty tillage tool that is designed to tackle tough field conditions. This ripper features a unique shank design that minimises soil disturbance, while still effectively breaking up compacted soil layers. It also features a range of blade options, allowing farmers to customise their tillage operations to suit their specific needs. The Ecolo-Tiger 875 Disk Ripper is built to last, with a durable frame and high-strength components that can handle the toughest field conditions.

475 Speed-Tiller high-speed disc

The 475 Speed-Tiller high-speed disc offers a tillage solution that is simple to use, extraordinarily efficient, and exceptionally versatile. It creates a highly efficient seedbed with a planter-ready field finish and creates a smoother, more level sub-surface floor complimenting accurate seed placement and young root development. The rigid mode of operation allows for greater penetration of tough soils in autumn and winter along with excellent sizing and incorporation of crop residue.

Tiger-Mate 255 Field Cultivator

The Tiger-Mate 255 Field Cultivator is a versatile tillage tool that can be used for seedbed preparation, residue management, and seed placement. This cultivator features a unique shank design that minimises soil disturbance, while still effectively breaking up compacted soil layers. It also features a range of blade options, allowing farmers to customise their tillage operations to suit their specific needs. The Tiger-Mate® 255 Field Cultivator is built to last, with a durable frame and high-strength components that can handle the toughest field conditions.

According to Case IH Implements Product Specialist Johan Grobler, maximising yield potential starts at the time of primary tillage and one of the most critical elements is proper soil management. Effective farmers know that growers can dramatically improve crop emergence in the spring by implementing sound soil cultivation practices in autumn and winter.
