Renault offers a standard 5-year/150 000 km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty with all new vehicles sold, but what does that warranty cover?

Renault new vehicle warranty covers the cost of repair or replacement of defective parts to repair a material, assembly or manufacturing defect acknowledged by the manufacturer. It also covers consequential damage to the vehicle resulting from the principal defect.
The Anticorrosion warranty covers the cost of repair or replacement of components with inherent paintwork defects acknowledged by the manufacturer due to any material, manufacturing or application defect. It also covers repair or replacement of bodywork components with perforated panelling.
What does the warranty NOT cover?
- Accidents
- Misuse
- Weather and road conditions
- Use of non-genuine Renault parts
- Environmental damages
- Body corrosions arising as a result of any alteration on the vehicle
- Normal maintenance service such as engine service
- Cleaning and or polishing
- Tyres, Wheel balancing and alignment
- Headlight aiming
- Replacement of filters
- Windshield wiper inserts
- Light bulbs
- Spark plugs
- Drive belts
- Lubricants and cooling
- Worn pads, drums and rotors
- Worn clutch discs
