Let's take a look at what the warranty covers and what the Freeway Plan will and won't cover
The Warranty
The updated Audi RS6 come standard with a 1-year / unlimited-distance warranty. This warrants that the vehicle is free from defects in material and workmanship according to current industry standards. This means that if a component or system becomes defective within the one-year period, Audi will replace or repair the part according to technical requirements.
The warranty and Audi Freeway Plan do NOT cover the following:
- Alteration to or modification of the vehicle
- Service and/or maintenance by a non authorised workshop
- Repair of any windscreen, windows, damaged glass, carpet, trim, seat covers, soft-top canvas and/or frames, sunroof pane, paintwork or body panels
- Damage caused as a result of an accident, the use in the vehicle of oils, lubricants and other additives not approved by the manufacturer
- Industrial pollution and rust corrosion
- Neglect, improper handling or misuse of the vehicle, including but not limited to any form of race competition
- Poor road and adverse driving conditions
- Fitment of any accessory or equipment not approved by Audi South Africa.
- Replacement of tyres, balancing and wheel alignment
- If services are not carried out within one 1 month or 1000km of the specified service interval it could invalidate the Plan
The Audi Freeway Plan can be extended from 5 year / 100 000km to a maximum of 7 year / 200 000km's (whichever occurs first) from the date of initial delivery with extension applications being lodged prior to the expiry of the original plan.
