The Mercedes-AMG CLA is a fantastic four-door sedan with the go to match the show, it also has a large amount of technology installed that requires a decent flow of electrical power to keep everything running. To keep all the electronic goodies operating you will need a car battery that is in tip-top condition so if the installed gadgets begin acting up it may be time for a new battery.

Changing the battery is relatively easy, and we can show you how it's done in a step-by-step tutorial below

 

You will need:

 

  • New replacement battery for your model (correct amperage)
  • 13mm spanner, 13mm socket and wrench

 

 

Let's get started!

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate the battery

 

3. Remove the battery cover

 

2. Remove the negative terminal using the 13mm spanner 

 

3. Remove the positive terminal using the 13mm

 

4. Use 13mm socket and wrench, remove the hold-down bracket

 

5. Remove old battery

 

6. Install the new battery.

 

7. Assemble in reverse order.
