How to replace the car battery on a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro

In order to keep these tech features working optimally the vehicles' battery has to be well-charged and in good working order, so if any of the features begin to malfunction it may be time for a new battery. You can flex some DIY muscle and fit one yourself, and we can show you how it's done with minimal tools

 

You will need:

  • Panel removal tool
  • 10mm wrench
  • 13mm socket + extension and driver

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Use the panel removal tool to remove the plastic engine bay cover

 

3. Locate the battery

 

4. Use the 10mm wrench to remove the negative battery terminal

 

5. Use the 10mm wrench to remove the positive terminal

 

6. Use the 13mm socket to remove the battery hold down bracket

 

7. Remove the battery

 

8. Install new battery

 

9. Assemble in reverse order
