How to change wiper blades on a Chery J3

Although it is not as popular as its counterparts in its segment, there are a few Chery vehicles plying the roads in SA. Contrary to popular belief, spare parts such as windshield wipers are available and should be replaced before every rainy season.Keeping a clear line of site while driving said roads is of paramount importance and one small bit of DIY you can right at home is changing out the windscreen wipers before each rainy season.

You will need:

  • New wiper blades for your year model
  • Soft cloth

 

Let's get started:

 

1. Begin by lifting the wiper blade arm up.

 

2. Slightly rotate the wiper blade into a working position.

 

3. Find the tab that holds the blade in place and unlock it.

 

4. Slide the wiper blade out of the U-shaped bend on the arm.

 

5. Slide the new blade into the wiper arm bend and lock down with retainer clip.

 

6. Test the system
