Stealthy exchange

After being gone for a few years, the Navara made something of a splash when it came back in South Africa. The new Navara was loaded with new luxury and technology such as a coil rear suspension, new engines and LED lighting all around.

This means that the latest Navara has LED headlight bulbs that have an exceptionally long lifespan and you should not ever have to change them.

But what if you have one of the first generation models, can you change those? The answer is yes, and we can show you how to do it in just a few minutes, and no tools are required!

You will need:

  • Replacement globes of the correct type and wattage
  • Soft cloth

Let's get it done

1. Open bonnet

2. Locate back of the headlight assembly and remove the connector plug

3. Remove the rubber cover

4. Squeeze the retainer and unclip

5. Exchange bulb

6. Reassemble in reverse order and repeat on the opposite side.

DO NOT touch the glass of the bulb as this can contaminate the surface drastically reducing bulb lifespan. Clean with a soft cloth
