How to change wiper blades on a Nissan GT-R

In 2008, Nissan unveiled the highly anticipated GT-R R35 to the world. GT-R enthusiasts eagerly awaited the new arrival since the GT-R PROTO concept was showcased in 2005. Since the initial release, there has been a variety of updates made as well as special edition models introduced, the most recent being the 50th Anniversary Edition launched in 2020. 

While a vehicle like the Nissan GT-R can easily be described as being in a class of its own in terms of performance and driving dynamics, like all cars, it will need regular maintenance to perform at its best. One of the more underrated maintenance tasks is changing the wiper blades for a fresh new set. This will greatly improve the visibility from the driver seat when there is rain and is very important. Luckily this is an easy process and won't require any special tools or a lot of time.

You will need:

- New replacement wiper blades

- Soft damp cloth

- 5 minutes of your time

Let's get it done:

Step 1: Park your vehicle in an area it will be easy to access both sides of the vehicle.

Step 2: Move to the driver-side wiper blade and lift it off the windscreen surface.

Step 3: Locate the release clip at the base of the wiper blade.

Step 4: While lifting the release clip, slide the wiper blade downwards to remove.

Step 5: Align the new blade with the U-shape in the wiper arm and slide in until you can secure the clip into place.

Step 6: Using a soft damp cloth, clean the windscreen surface to remove any dirt and grime that can cause scratches.

Step 7: Repeat the process on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Step 8: You can now lower the new blades onto the windscreen.

Step 9: Switch on the vehicle and by pulling the wiper stork towards you, test the washer system.

Step 10: While the washer system is activated, monitor to see how well the new wipers are clearing the windscreen.
