How to replace a lightbulb on a Mercedes-AMG GLC

We take a look at the process of replacing the LED headlight bulbs on an AMG GLC

The Mercedes-AMG GLC range represents the higher end of the large performance SUV. With these falling into the higher end of the spectrum, they tend to make use of LED headlight systems. If you are not comfortable working with these it may be best left to the professionals at your local Mercedes dealer but if you feel confident enough to tackle this task, we can show you how it's done.

Be warned though, the process may be relatively straightforward and require no tools but the space you have to work in makes it particularly troublesome.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement LED bulbs of the correct amperage and wattage

 

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet to assist with light

 

2. Locate the panel in the wheel well and remove.

 

3. Remove the screw-on dust cover.

 

4. Remove the connector plug.


5. Twist the globe anti-clockwise to remove

6. Install new LED globe

 

7. Reassemble in reverse order and repeat on the opposite side.
