The first generation Kia Sportage's began appearing in South Africa in the very late 90's and by the mid 2000's had become a well established market competitor. The 2nd and 3rd generation models are still highly sought after in the second hand market due to their reliability and ease of maintenance.

Replacing the H9 headlight bulbs is a very easy bit of DIY maintenance that you can tackle right at home with no tools needed, and we can show you how its done.

You will need:

Replacement bulbs
Soft cloth

Let's get it done

1. Open the bonnet

2. Locate the back of the headlight cluster in the engine bay. Locate the small black cover that protects the back of the bulb.

3. Remove the cover by turning clockwise.

4. Remove the connector plug from the bulb.

5. Depress the locating clip to remove bulb

6. Replace the bulb

7. Assemble in reverse order
