The lighting technology in cars has progressed a far way from the dull H9 filament bulbs which would yellow out over time. Most new vehicles these days have LED lighting fitted as standard, but you will still find cars that are a few years older that have H7 or H11 style bulbs and these will need to be replaced periodically.

This is a relatively easy task, and we can show you how it's done on your Ford Fusion.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement H11 headlight bulbs
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Soft cloth

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Turn wheels to full lock

 

2. Locate the access panel in the wheel well

 

3. Use the screwdriver to remove the retaining screw and remove cover plate

 

4. Locate rear of light assembly

 

5. Remove rubber cover

 

6. Twist to remove bulb

 

7. Disconnect wiring plug

 

8. Replace bulb

 

9. Assemble in reverse order and test to ensure correct operation
