The Ford EcoSport has proven to be a favourite choice for small families wanting a sporty crossover that fits neatly into their lifestyle. The EcoSport is also surprisingly easy to do DIY maintenance on and when it comes to replacing light bulbs the Ford proves again that simplest is best.

We can take you through the steps needed to replace a taillight bulb on your EcoSport without breaking the bank.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement dual filament bulbs for your make and model
  • T20 Torx bit and driver

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the rear hatch

 

2. Locate the wiring covers near the light assemblies in the luggage area

 

3. Open and undo the two thumbscrews

 

4. Push/Pull the light assembly to release

 

5. Remove wiring plug

 

6. Using the T20 Torx bit, remove the three screws that retain the bulb holder

 

7. Remove holder and replace the fused bulb

 

8. Assemble in reverse order.
