How to replace a headlight bulb on a Ford EcoSport

Shine the light

Ford EcoSport delivers just the right amount of crossover SUV styling that South Africans need. What you will also need is functioning headlights and once your EcoSport reaches a certain age the headlight bulbs will need to be replaced to keep the lights shining brightly.

There is no need to head off to your local Ford dealer though as you can do this right at home, and we can show you how.

You will need:

Replacement bulbs of the correct wattage and amperage

Let's get it done

1. Open the bonnet

2. Locate the back of the headlight assembly

3. Remove the rubber cap

4. Remove the wiring plug from the back of the bulb

5. Depress locking clip and remove bulb

6. Insert new bulb and reassemble in reverse order
