X marks the spot
The latest iterations of the BMW X5 have come a long way since the days of Halogen bulbs, with many now coming standard with LED lighting systems that cannot be user serviced.

Older models from the early 20 teens did have HID lighting systems that can be serviced albeit with a degree of difficulty, due to cramped service quarters. It is not overly complicated, and we can show you how its done.
You will need:
- Replacement HID bulbs of the correct amperage and size
- Soft cloth
Let's get it done
1. Open the bonnet
2. Locate the cover on the back of the headlight cluster
3. Remove cover
4. Depress wire retainer clip securing the HID bulb
5. Remove HID wiring
6. Remove HID bulb
7. Replace bulb taking care not to touch the bulb glass
8. Reassemble in reverse order and test
