The Swedes are well known for the safety levels in their Volvos, but they are also very efficient. Replacing a headlight bulb on an older model V60 is relatively easy.

In just a few steps you can quickly change out a bulb without having to book your car in for a service, and we are going to show you how it's done.

 

You will need:

 

  • Replacement bulbs for your year and model
  • T30 Torx bit and driver
  • Soft cloth

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet.

 

2. Remove the rubber bonnet stopper.

 

3. Loosen the T30 Torx screw.

 

4. Turn and unclip the locking pin and remove.

 

6. Unclip the connector cable.

 

5. Tilt and lift the headlight cluster out.

 

7. Remove rear cover of the headlight assembly and replace bulbs as necessary.

 

8. Test system to ensure correct operation.

 

DO NOT touch the glass of the bulbs with bare hands, as oils from your skin can affect longevity of new bulbs, Clean with a soft cloth
