Clean screen
Although it is not as popular as its counterparts in its segment, the Nissan Qashqai did sell quite well. There should be a large enough contingent of these mid-size SUVs tackling trails all over South Africa. Keeping a clear line of site while driving said trails is of paramount importance and one small bit of DIY you can right at home is changing out the windscreen wipers before each rainy season.
We can show you how to do this in a matter of minutes without any tools!
You will need:
- New wiper blades for your year model
- Soft cloth
Let's get started:
1. Begin by lifting the wiper blade arm up until it locks into place.
2. Rotate the wiper blade into a horizontal position.
3. Find the small tab that holds the blade in place and push down.
4. Slide the wiper blade out of the U-shaped bend on the arm.
5. Retrieve your new wiper blade.
6. Slide the new blade into the wiper arm bend until you hear a click.
7. Test the system
DO NOT run the wiper blades dry as you can damage them. Make sure all dirt and dust have been cleaned from the area at the bottom of the windscreen to avoid contaminating the new rubber on the wipers.
