Four Aston Martin DB11 accessories you didn’t know you needed.
While for some the Aston Martin DB11 is the epitome of automotive design, others might want to finish off their British supercar with a few accessories available from the manufacturer. Here are the four accessories you didn't know you needed.
The Aston Martin DB11 was first unveiled at the 86th International Geneva Motor Show in 2016, and in typical fashion for the British automaker, pleasantly stunned the media and public with its styling. Not only does the new model offer a new design but, for the first time for the brand, comes fitted with a twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Aston Martin later introduced a twin-turbocharged V8 motor, developed by Mercedes-AMG, to the same model.

The V12 engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission and promises to propel the vehicle to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and on to 322 km/h, using every bit of the 447 kW and 700 Nm on offer. The V8 variant, while also coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, develops 375kW and 675 Nm of torque and will only reach 100 km/h in 4 seconds and a top speed of 301 km/h.
Carbon fibre exterior packs
While most will describe the Aston Martin DB11 as the ultimate grand tourer, others look at it as a supercar with a racing heritage. While both groups are not wrong, the DB11 comes with subdued finishes which will appeal to the former, however, offer carbon fibre exterior packs that will put a smile on the faces of the latter.
Offered in two packs the fitment of the first carbon fibre exterior pack will result in the vehicle's front splitter, diffuser and side sills, finished in high gloss carbon fibre. If this is not enough, owners can specify the second pack which will further transform the mirror caps, side strakes and bonnet blades. Customers can also order both packages at once and do not have to execute it in stages.
Gold under-bonnet jewellery pack
The twin-turbocharged V12 engine under the bonnet of the DB11 is in-fact developed in-house by the engineers of Aston Martin and it is a thing of beauty. Many international journalists have sung its praise but how do you show your appreciation as an owner? You can always fit the gold under-bonnet jewellery pack.
Yes, you read that right, the Q-division at the Aston Martin factory will by request fit an 18-carat, gold-plated engine badge, a gold anodised aluminium oil filler cap, matching dipstick finisher and a gold-coloured quilted under-bonnet lining to your DB11.
Tinted wheels
Most of us might be familiar with the process of tinting your windows, but for the Aston Martin owner, that is not where the tinting ends. First making its appearance on the Q by Aston Martin edition DB11 at the global unveiling are striking blue-tinted wheels. The alloy wheel takes form as a 10-spoke, 20-inch unit finished in gloss black, however, the diamond-turned face of the wheels undergoes special tinting which gives it its rich blue tone.
Whether you choose it to match your vehicle's bodycolour or contrast it, the wheels are bound to draw attention, especially if you have opted for the carbon fibre centre-caps.
Carbon fibre trim inlay
If you fall in the group of people that would add the carbon fibre packs on the exterior of your DB11, why stop there? Aston Martin offer owners the optional carbon fibre trim inlay pack for the interior of the car. Opting for this pack will result in the centre stack as well as the door trim panels to be garnished with satin twill carbon fibre, matching the sporty look on the exterior.
