The 2025 Toyota RAV4 comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, which includes a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies that includes:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection: Alerts the driver to potential hazards and can automatically apply the brakes.
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: Maintains a set speed and a preset distance from the vehicle ahead.
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist: Detects if the vehicle is unintentionally drifting and can provide steering adjustments.
  • Lane Tracing Assist: Helps keep the vehicle centred in its lane.
  • Road Sign Assist: Displays road signs on the multi-information display.
  • Automatic High Beams: Automatically switches between high and low beams.

Star Safety System includes a collection of advanced safety features:

  • Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
  • Traction Control (TRAC)
  • Anti-lock Brakes (ABS)
  • Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD)
  • Brake Assist (BA)
  • Smart Stop Technology
  • Airbags: Eight standard airbags, including front, side, curtain, and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger.
  • Backup Camera: A standard rearview camera with dynamic gridlines.


New RAV4

Available safety features depending on the model variant:

  • Panoramic View Monitor: Provides a 360-degree overhead view while in reverse or low-speed drive, including a Curb View option.
  • Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking: Detects objects in tight spaces and can automatically apply the brakes.
  • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM): Detects vehicles in the driver's blind spots.
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA): Warns of approaching vehicles from the sides when the car is in reverse.
  • Downhill Assist Control (DAC): Maintains a constant, slow speed when descending steep hills.
  • Hill Start Assist Control (HAC): Prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards on an incline when moving from the brake to the accelerator.
  • Toyota Safety Connect: A subscription-based service for emergency assistance, roadside support, and stolen vehicle location services
