French surprise
The Peugeot 308 proved to be an absolutely cracking motor vehicle amongst those in the know. It may have resonated with industry stalwarts but never quite captured the hearts and minds of consumers and at the end of 2018 the only derivative on offer, the 1.2 Allure model, was officially retired from the French automakers local line up.

The Peugeot 308 was originally sold with a 3 year / 100 000km warranty and a 5 year / 100 000km maintenance plan. Which means that if you are able to find one of the very few models that were sold before it was dropped, you will still have the proverbial "diamond in the rough" with an outstanding warranty still in place.
What does the warranty cover?
- PSA guarantees that all parts and accessories supplied by Peugeot, and fitted at the time of the purchase of a new vehicle, to be free of defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a period of 3 years / 100 000km (whichever transpires first) and includes free Roadside assistance.
- The contractual warranty period, of a new vehicle, starts from the first date of registration.
- The warranty covers the cost of repair or replacement of Peugeot original and approved parts which are found to be defective. It also covers consequential damage to the vehicle resulting from a principal defect.
What does the warranty NOT cover?
- A repair done outside the contractual period of the warranty.
- Wearing parts, the replacement of which is not the consequence of a failure and/or its environment but the result of normal wear and tear such as clutches, brakes, rotors, wiper blades etc.
- Damage as a result of driver abuse or negligence.
- Tyres
- Damage caused by natural phenomena. ie: hail, floods, falling trees etc.
