French cars are notoriously expensive to have work done on so It is always a good idea to take care of this preventative maintenance yourself before you need it
No sunshine when it rains
The average lifespan of the windshield wipers on your car is roughly 18 months. It is always a good idea to take care of this preventative maintenance before you need it, especially as mechanics see a big paycheck when any french car rolls into their workshop. We show you how to take care of business yourself for a fraction of the cost, in a few easy steps.
You will need:
- Wiper blades for your year model
- Soft cloth
Let's get started!
- Lift the wiper arm up.
- Rotate the wiper blade until it is horizontal.
- Push/pull the wiper blade further, until it unclips from the holder.
- Remove the wiper blade.
- Place the new wiper blade against the holder and apply gentle pressure while push/pulling it down until it clips back into place.
- Repeat on the other side.
Pro Tip: Place a piece of cardboard or a soft cloth against the windscreen to prevent the empty wiper arm from crashing down onto the glass.
